Jojo Siwa Inspired Valentine’s Day Mailbox
How To Make An Oversized Paper Bow Valentine Mailbox
If you have a daughter in elementary school, even preschool, you may have heard of Jojo Siwa. She’s known for her oversized blinged out bows. We have a super easy tutorial on how to make paper bows that your little ladies can deck out with rhinestones, stickers, markers, you name it. We used the bow to finish off a Jojo Siwa inspired Valentine’s Day Mailbox.
Paper Bow Supplies
- Colored or patterned card stock or printer paper
- Hot glue gun or sticky dots
- decorations – including sticky rhinestones, stickers, crayons, markers, etc.
- If you’re using this for your Valentine’s Day Mailbox you’ll need a small box, shoe box, photo box or a mailbox kit (we found one at Walmart for $.98)
Print out two pages of the file below on your card stock or whatever paper you’ll be using for the bow.
Cut out the four bow pieces. You’ll only need one of the circles cut out for the center.
Once your pieces are cut out, hand them over to the decorating team. Keep in mind that half of each of these pieces will be in the back. So if you’re low on supplies or time then you might want to have them only focus on decorating one half of each of the bow pieces.
Adding The Bling
I found these sticky rhinestones at Walmart. You can find all sorts of stickers at the craft store or the dollar store as well.
The more bling, the better apparently 😉
My kindergartener was able to do this part all on her own while i was working on dinner. Win-win 🙂
Next, take each bow piece and match up the two tabbed ends. Do not fold or crease the middle. Add a dab of hot glue or a sticky dot in between the two tabs to hold them together.
Repeat this step with all four of the bow pieces.
Take two of the bow pieces and connect the two tabs together with hot glue or sticky dots. We connected them at a slight angle inward.
Flip this over and connect the third bow section to the back/bottom of the bow. We attached this section kind of straight out from the center on each side.
Add the fourth section just like the third.
Add one of the cut out circles to the center of the bow.
Pop it on your Valentine’s Day Mailbox or whatever project you’re working on for your lil lady.
