DIY Dollar Store Valentine’s Day Heart Wreath Decoration
There are so many great Valentine crafts at the Dollar Tree right now! During our last trip, we picked up a few supplies to make this super quick and easy foam rose heart wreath.
We made this wreath for only $7 in materials! I can honestly say that this is one of the quickest, easiest DIY wreaths that I’ve made. It really turned out well.
So run over to the Dollar Tree quick fast now and snag the supplies so you can create this budget friendly Valentine’s Day decoration.
Supplies For DIY Dollar Store Rose Heart Wreath
- Wire heart wreath form from Dollar Tree
- 6 packages of foam roses from Dollar Tree (if you can’t find them at the Dollar Tree check out these available on Amazon
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Ribbon to hang the wreath
- Felt for backing (not necessary)
- Scissors
I used 6 packages of the light pink foam faux roses. Each package contains 6 individual rose heads.
Our Dollar Tree store had the roses in red, white, bubblegum pink and light pink. Some people are having a difficult time finding these foam roses.
The foam roses are available online, but they are currently being sold in assorted colors by the case. So if you want a monochromatic look, you’ll need to find them in the store probably.
These Dollar Tree 5 stem roses were available online and might be a good substitute for the foam roses.
Adding Roses To Your Heart Wreath
Fire up your hot glue gun and add hot glue around the edge of the bottom of one of your foam roses. Press it onto the wire frame. Continue adding roses around the wreath frame until all space has been filled.
Fill in any small remaining gaps by adding a dab of hot glue onto the side of one of the petals and glue it to a petal on the rose next to it to fill the void.
Heart Wreath Backing
If you are adding a backing to the heart wreath, cut strips of felt the same width as the wreath. Add hot glue to the felt strips and press onto the back of the wire frame.
Add ribbon to the back of the wire frame to hang up your gorgeous heart wreath.

My Mom and I made these last night & they came out so beautiful! Thank you for the inspiration
I’m so glad! What a fun project to do with your momma 💖
Did you find the roses at the Dollar Tree
Yes! The foam ones are from the Dollar Tree but others have tried making it with other faux flowers and the they’ve turned out great too!
This is a super cute and easy wreath! If you don’t mind, I’d like to tag it in a Valentine’s post I’m creating.
Of course!
Have checked all the Dollar Tree stores within 15 miles and nobody has the heart wreath.
They have them online but it looks like you have to buy a min of 4. Maybe the stores will get them soon!
Just purchased online! Got 4 wreaths and 24 packages (!!) of the foam roses (only had multi-colored ones), since the store was out in person. LOL. Heading to The Dollar Store for a cheap craft. Ends up spending $40 online for four, haha. Figure it’ll be a fun craft with my daughter, mom, sister, and her daughter. And we can use two wreaths in varying colors for our front door perhaps. “You get a wreath, and you get a wreath, and you get a wreath!” 😉 My daughter said we can make a wreath for “everyone in the neighborhood”! HA!
Thanks for the crafting idea and inspiration, this will be fun turning it into a “Valentine’s Craft Day” with my niece and daughter – we’re planning to make and decorate sugar cookies, too!
Love this wreath! Went on a shopping spree this weekend and after visiting a few Dollar Tree locations, I found everything I needed. In fact, I bought enough to make one light pink and one cream heart wreath. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love this! This would great decor for our valentines dinner night with the kids.
