We put together a super easy fall mantel with a few items that will keep your space on point from the first leaf drop to Thanksgiving Dinner…. that Friday after Thanksgiving tho all bets are off. Those pumpkins turn into winter decor at the stroke of midnight… if not before 🙂
A really easy and affordable way to add varying height to your decor is with small stacks of books. I picked up a few at our local thrift store last week. Slip off the paper jacket to get a look at the spine of the book or the pages to see what it would look like stacked on your mantel. I was using off-white and blues so I looked for spines in those colors. These can be used on bookshelves too to vary the heights of your decor items.
The little freeze-dried boxwood on the far left is from West Elm. I love his bright color and soft texture. It’s the perfect complement to any seasonal decor.
I scored these fun felt pumpkins in varying colors like cream, orange, burgundy, and navy from JOANN Fabric. They were on sale when I was there last. The store had additional colors than what was featured online. The adorable cable knit pumpkins are from Target.
I made the sign using a canvas from the craft store. I took the stretched canvas off of the wood and then stained and used the wood as the frame in the front. I cut out the design on heat transfer vinyl using my Silhouette machine and ironed it onto the canvas before reattaching it to the wood frame.
I placed a few of the felt pumpkins on thrifted wooden candlestick holders or small raised vases that I had around the house.
I snagged a few little pumpkins at the grocery store last time we were there and used those to fill in around the larger pumpkins.
On the hearth is our Hearth & Hand Galvanized Metal Vase with Faux Orange Berry Stems from Michaels. I want to snag a few more when I’m there next to fill it out a little bit.
I placed our Threshold Faux Mohair Plaid Blanket from Target in a basket on the hearth. A similar basket in felt is available on Amazon.
The Large White Faux Pumpkin on fireplace hearth is from Target, but I’ve spotted similar faux pumpkins at the craft stores.
Our lantern is no longer available but we found a similar lantern from Amazon and flameless candle
The blue herringbone pillows were a recent Target run find and the faux fur one is from Costco but similar ones can be found on Amazon here.
Hope this gave you some inspiration for your own fall decorating. Happy fall ya’ll!
