How To Make A Conversation Heart Frame

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner.  Time to deck the mantel with pastels and candy hearts.  We have created this simple tutorial to help you create this adorable Conversation Heart Valentine’s Day Frame.

Supplies

  • 5×7 picture frame
  • White spray paint – use a paint + primer one like if you plan on changing the color of the frame
  • Conversation heart candies – we used Brachs
  • Glue gun and extra glue sticks

Start with a frame with a thin flat edge.  We got this 5×7 frame from Dollar Tree.  Guess how much it was? 😉  We ended up spray painting the frame white, so if you want to start with a simple white frame, you could skip the spray painting step.

Coat the frame with spray paint and let it dry completely.

Lay out your conversation hearts and pick out the best ones.  If plan on doing a pattern around the frame start laying that out.  The hot glue cools off quickly so it’s easier if you have the hearts layed out ready to be pressed down on to the frame.

Start in one of the corners of the frame and put a bead of hot glue on the front of the frame then place a conversation heart into the hot glue.  Work your way around the frame working a few hearts at a time.  When the entire front of the frame is covered, put the glass back in the frame, add your photo and display with pride 🙂

You can download our free Valentine’s Day “Love you to the moon and back” printable here to add to your frame.

Happy Valentine’s Day my loves!
